I just decided that I needed to buy a plant for my desk – I thought about this earlier in the week and started to decide what to get, so I was interested to read this article today, which stereotypes things in your workspace.
Plants & Foliage – plants that are well-cared for indicates someone who plans to stay.
Now – I’m not convinced mine willl be well cared for – but I’ll try.

Google have got pictures of my house…and probably yours.
this is the new Nokia phone – the N91 – which is being dubbed, the IPOD killer. Now, since I have learnt to hate my IPOD (battery life, scratches etc) – I would definately be early in the queue for one of these babies. Now, if any marketing people, or PR people at Nokia (or one of its agencies) happens upon this entry – and they’d like me to test and review this beauty – I’d be very grateful indeed…and would probably say a lot of nice things to a lot of people…I might even donate an organ or something. Thanks! (Oh – by the way – you can contact me here).
Manu did extra well at school this week – so I bought him some lego racers as a treat…I think it was more my treat than his, as I spent a nice 30 minutes building racing cars…pictures are here.

I think I may have just stepped over the line into addiction…Sudoku…is the puzzle craze that seems to be sweeping the UK…I just completed my first one, with a handy programme that lets you do them on your PC. The principle is very simple….every row, column and 3×3 box must contain the digits 1 thru 9. Sounds simple huh? Try it on your PC by downloading this. Heres my first…

I can just see it. I’ll be driving home from work, and the phone will ring. “Your refrigerator is on the line,” the car will say; “it wants you to pick up some milk on your way home.” To which my response will be: “Tell the refrigerator I’m in a meeting.”
Wise words indeed – read some more here…
My new shoes…Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66…beautiful!

I don’t often watch comedy DVD’s, but Christmas time bought the Ricky Gervais stand up show – Politics, and tonight I fancied some light relief…so I thought I’d check this out.

Once you forget the fact that he played David Brent in the Office…its easy to see why so many people rate his stand up work – top timing, great topical gags…and even some classic old jokes retold with a new twist. Its brilliant stuff and the whole DVD flew past…theres some extras on the DVD – documentary, and interviews – so its worth the investment if you fancy a good giggle!
Possibly my favourite TV programme of the last few years returned last night. Shameless - the story of the most dysfunctional family in the UK – the Gallaghers from Chatsworth Estate in Manchester.

A new ten-part series starts on January 4th – but last nights Christmas special was brilliant – Kev managed to steal a truck load of meat – which just happened to be contaminated by the Army in a biological war game – you can imagine the rest. Amidst the Army and Police placing the whole Estate under quarantine…we saw christmas shopping, babies being born and people coming of age.
Excellent stuff – do not miss the series on Channel 4.
