Because Nick said so…

…and because i really need to sit down and put these all into one nice tidy format – here are the galleries that I’ve left in place…they will all go into the side bar when I’ve finished tidying up.

I don’t know which gallery format I prefer….Snap Gallery or Picasa exports….any thoughts?

Everyday I spend my time…

Don’t push your love too far
Your wounds won’t leave a
scar

Right now is where you are
In a broken dream
Did someone bow their head ?
Did someone break the bread ?
Good people are in bed
Before nine o’clock.

About four years too late…

I finally watched Black Hawk Down last night…I have no idea why I didn’t see this new, or on DVD but what a film! They say that the true stories are sometimes the best – and this one fell in that category. Great battle sequences that did very little to further my opinion of war in far off places.

I haven’t done much reading about the actual story around the raid in Mogadishu that went wrong, but if its anywhere near as bad as the film portrays, then I’m not surprised that the commander dude resigned straight afterwards.

The film was full of stars – and not so stars – but the real star was the cinematography, some great action sequences, a few really gruesome scenes (why the f*** did that guy pick up his mates hand?), and some cool desert/city flying sequences that really set the pace. I loved it.

Someone once said…

Everybody gets so much information all day long
that they lose their common sense.

So very close to the truth.

He’s about to paint his masterpiece…

Watched Man On Fire last night – Denzel Washington, down mexico way wreaking havoc and revenge on the nasty people that kidnap a small child that he made friends with…it was pretty good with Denzel doing drunk ex-CIA killer quite well, and Christopher Walken playing his old mate. It’s pretty violent, with one of the best scenes being Denzel hacking off the fingers of a corrupt policeman to get information…along with much shooting, explosions and chasing people around. Excellent stuff for a couple of hours of diversion

Like a phoenix from the ashes…

So, I am restarting my blog….I used to keep a blog, when they were new and exciting, but I got bored with the clunkiness of it (and the fact I couldn’t update it when I was away from my PC)…but increasingly I find myself wanting to add content to the web quickly and efficiently, and blogs are good way of doing this – so I’m back here.

I have no idea what I’ll keep on here – although I’m sure it’ll be much the same as before, the odd link, the odd rant, the odd travel update (I do a lot of that).

I’m impressed with blogger now it has been updated with new features and the interface has a new look. I especially like that I can email my words into my blog…I use a blackberry so I quite like the fact that I can add to my blog wherever I am now.

The next steps are to tidy up my website so that the useful stuff can be found again – currently its ALL hiding away, but there are photos on here…some music…and various other bits of crap….all will become apparent.
