Watersmeet, near Lynmouth – 1903
A slightly unusual postcard – with the message on the front of the card, and a shrunken image – send from Watersmeet near Lynmouth (its part of the National Trust now) to Westdown in Ilfracombe in 1903. Click more to see the reverse of the card.

A Stunning Postcard but even there you can see the fast flowing river . I believe in 1952 thirty-four people lost their lives in a massive flood, that happen in that area. Head line news at the time. A wonderful collection of postcards by the way.
