Even the kids are good – this season promises to be a fantastic one. Five at the weekend against Derby and now two from the reserves puts the barcodes out. Top of the table, and points clear after only 6 games, couldn’t be better.
Playing scrabble on your PC is a piece of cake – playing against other people requires accessing some hideous web pages – until you download Wordbiz, the Scrabble client that allows you to play people or your own level from around the world (if you want a game – I’m ‘pickybug’ on there)
Brand new mix for you to download and enjoy – built around some superb bouncy house music around at the moment – from the superb voices of Roisin Murphy (Moloko) and Sia (Zero 7), through to the DJ genius of Roger Sanchez. Theres a remake of a true classic : Love can’t turn around by N-Joi and a brilliant lift of Alanis Morrisette on the new Freemasons tune – Uninvited. This one is a little more commercial than a few of my recent house sets, but the mixes I have used are definitely my choice of the pack – all bass-heavy, pumping cuts that should be excellent for the dancefloor, the car or the gym.

I’ve just fallen out of love with you – once I really liked your minimalist style – but now, I want something more (and its nothing to do with the fact I’ve been seeing other blogs) – with bells and some whistles. So we’re going to make some changes…things may be funky whilst we get you right…but you will be the perfect blog template when we’re finished.
Put a ribbon round my neck and call me a libertine
I will sing you songs of dreams I used to dream
I will sail away on seas of silver and gold
Until I reach my homeGive me a guitar and I’ll be your troubadour
Your strolling minstrel 12th century door to door
I don’t know anymore, if that feeling is past will it last
Oh, how can you be sure? And how do I know if you’re feeling the same as me?
And how do I know if that’s the only place you want to be?Give me a stage and I’ll be your rock and roll queen
Your 20th century cover of a magazine
Rolling Stone here I come, watch out everyone, I’m singing
I’m singing my songGive me a festival and I’ll be your Glastonbury star
The lights are shining everyone knows who you are
Singing songs about dreams about hopes about schemes
Ooooh, they just came trueAnd how do I know if you’re feeling the same as me?
And how do I know if that’s the only place you want to be?And if you want it too, then there’s nothing left to do:
Let’s start a band
Let’s start a band
Let’s start a band
Let’s start a band
Amy MacDonald – Lets start a Band (2007) – absolutely loving her album at the moment.
Every last one of the lying, cheating whores who work in Whitehall or the White House should be forced to sit and watch this video at HBO. Produced and hosted by James Gandolfini, it tells the story of ten soldiers who have returned home from Iraq and have ended up celebrating their ‘alive day’, the date on which they didn’t die.
It is truly a sobering hour of television – splicing together short interviews with clips from the battlefields of Iraq – some of them shot and released by insurgents. You can hear shouts of ‘Allah Akhbar’ as military vehicles explode and the smoke and dust clears to reveal yet more tragedy.
I was one of the many who were fooled by our ‘leaders’, one of the many that supported the war and the ‘fight against terrorism’. In the last 4 years, Over 4000 coalition soldiers have been killed (and countless Iraqis), and will not celebrate their alive-day, I’m not sure who are the lucky ones – but these 10 brave people still believe that they are the lucky ones.
The rest of us – especially those so called leaders – can and should, be truly ashamed of ourselves.
