So after one hour in the queue to 1-800-AIRWAYS, and then a 20 minute phonecall to Amex back in the UK - I’m on a different flight coming home…my flight at 1945 is cancelled, and they booked me on the earlier flight, that leaves later (how does that work?!). Of course, all the cabin baggage restrictions are in place, and it looks like I won’t be able to take my new rucksack on the plane….which means entrusting my laptop and camera to the baggage fairies. This maybe the last post I write from my trusty laptop - wish me luck!

Looks like I wasn’t the only one inconvenienced by the airline terror plot. I was flying off to Spain the first day they discovered the plot.
